OWB is a cradle to grave cement additive used in various cementing applications in the oil and gas industry. It is used in the primary cement to isolate zones, protect the casing, and more importantly protect the reserves. It is also used to remediate poor cement jobs that didn't get cement placed properly or across zones that never had cement pumped to begin with. OWB is also used to repair casing leaks where the casing was exposed to corrosive formations and failed. It is also used at the end of a well's life to plug and abandon the wellbore.
